Dear Friends, Please join us for this month's public Day of Mindfulness
Practicing in the gentle energy of the residential community is deeply nourishing and supportive for our everyday life. This month Seonaid will offer the Dharma talk and a session of chanting to uplift and to celebrate the preciousness of life.
The community, the gardens, the cultivation of peaceful contemplation and a light practice schedule, support us all to settle into a deep and refreshing energy.
You are welcome to join from the early morning sit or arrive before the 10am sitting. S tay for the morning, or until the closing at 3pm.
The schedule will include:
7.00am -please note this new winter start time. Silent sitting meditation (please arrive and be settled a few minutes before this)
7.45- Breakfast (also offered in silence) followed by spacious time to rest, read, and simply be in nature.
10am -second sitting session (please arrive by 9.50) there will be a short break after the sitting
10.45am -We gather under the Gratitude Bell to enjoy the deep practice of Community walking meditation in nature.
11.15 - Contemplative Presence - Chanting, Dharma Talk/ Inquiry session
12.30 -Lunch
2.00pm - Afternoon offering - Deep Relaxation or Dharma Sharing
3.30pm - Closing
If you will attend for lunch, we would appreciate a booking so that we know how many to cater for.
GENEROSITY IN SPIRIT AND PRACTICE: The Sunday Mindfulness Day is offered in the context of reciprocity and generosity. There is no set charge, however this month we encourage support and generosity for Seonaid who has just been granted a place on the Order of Interbeing Retreat in Plum Village in June. All support for her will be much appreciated.
