THE LUMINOUS HEART 

RETURN TO SOURCE ... SILENCE…PRESENCE

This five-day silent retreat marks the beginning of the annual 3-month winter retreat programme at Dharma Gaia. It is a time to rest, renew our aspirations, and uplift our spiritual awakening.

This retreat will offer a spacious schedule steeped in stillness and listening.

Listening to nature, ourselves, and opening to the wisdom available within us. 

The silence and the depth of the residential community practice offers us a gentle container within which we can explore and renew ourselves. We are supported in strengthening the energy of presence in each of our daily actions. This kind of being, both together and alone, can be profound, healing and insightful.

Sessions of sitting meditation, walking in nature, qi gong, deep relaxation, teachings and inquiry sessions will be offered to inspire and uplift the luminous heart.

You may join whatever sessions will support you, or simply rest and follow your own silence, whether that leads you to read, write, draw, contemplate, or simply commune with nature.

PLEASE NOTE: To join this retreat, the expectation is that you have the necessary stability in physical and emotional health to be comfortable with the extended quiet and with being able to self-regulate outside of the guided sessions. If you have not attended a silent retreat before, please email the retreat Guardian so that we can check if this is the best retreat option for you at this time.

Retreat cost plus Dana for the Teachings:

Food and accommodation: $520 -460 (sliding scale - please pay according to your means).

The teachings: Teachings are offered on the basis of the Buddhist principle of Dana/Generosity. Our teachers have spent many years in training and practice in order to support everyone to share the fruits of their wisdom. They do not charge a set fee but depend on the students for their support. Please offer support in the light of the same generosity according to your means,

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event of a cancellation up to 10 days prior to the starting date of the retreat, we can offer a 75% refund or the funds can be carried over to your next retreat.  

However, a cancellation within 10 days of the retreat starting date is non-refundable. As we are often booked out quite quickly, late cancellations can prevent someone else from joining us.
