Matariki Weekend ourishing the luminous Field within and without

Join us to celebrate Matariki Nourishing the seeds of awakening

how do we keep our Spiritual Practice inspired and vibrant… How do we fully integrate the reality that it is within our everyday Life we find the essence of our Spiritual life … that they are inseparable!

This is a wonderful time of year at Dharma Gaia where we consciously draw on the vibrant fires of late Autumn as we move gently towards our winter retreat. Matariki is a time where we continue our planting of trees in the lumious field adjascent to the centre and utilize this physical act as a reinforcing metaphor for our inner cultivation of spiritual energy, joy and deepening.

Please join us to deepen your own capacity to bring presence and peace into every aspect of daily life.

This is an opportunity for all who wish to join us to deepen the joy of Living Mindfully, caring for each other and caring for the earth. As with all retreats at Dharma Gaia, we will continue to offer the formal foundational practices of sitting and walking meditation, teachings, and sharing times, as well as nourishing our capacity for peace and presence in our daily activities.

Every year on these retreats we also plant trees to nourish and protect Mother Earth and to deepen our loving connection with her and with each other. Growing in our wisdom of ‘Zen and the Art of Saving the Planet’ by Thich Nhat Hanh.

If you would like to be part of the planting session active or just to share in presence, then please bring your gumboots, working clothes and gloves, and spades if you can … If you would like to bring or plant a tree in the Ancestors Grove for any of your loved ones who have passed away, or to plant a tree in the growing children’s area please email Lisa at peace@dharmagaia.org so she can advise on what trees are suitable for the planting.
